The winner of the 2019 Startup Canada Woman Entrepreneur Award is Vancouver-based entrepreneur Mandy Potter, CEO of Jane, a woman-founded cannabis technology company achieving more than three million in revenue in its first 5 months. Mandy Potter was previously the Co-founder and Chief Hustler at Cleanify, an on-demand home services marketplace that raised five million in funding and was sold last year. Passionate about inclusivity, Mandy Potters’ team at Cleanify was 50 percent women and 50 cent persons of color. At Jane, the company is 75 percent woman-run with 75 percent persons of color. As the director, speaker, and judge for Lesbians Who Tech, as well as a panel guest for Women Who Code, Mandy Potter’s dedication to connecting the entrepreneur community along with members of marginalized groups is uniting and elevating Vancouver’s entrepreneurship community.
