The winner of the 2019 Innovation Award is PROOF, a technology company headquartered in Whitehorse with a mission to unlock technology and data for the public sector. PROOF’s platform empowers governments to go paperless by streamlining approvals and improving data-driven decisions. Years of research and more than two thousand interviews with public servants later, PROOF has emerged as a leader in its niche by offering a technology-driven solution, allowing public administrators and policymakers to better understand and serve citizens. In 2018, PROOF was selected as one of ten companies to participate in the Techstars Toronto Accelerator, before joining the Creative Destruction Lab. As an innovative company disrupting and innovating public administration, PROOF is a startup company demonstrating excellence in innovating the way the government does business.
