February 2023
Welcome to Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation (IEF) January 2023 Newsletter! Check out the exciting news, events, and resources made available to inspire you and support your business.
Thank you to our network for the overwhelming response and applications received for IEF’s 2022/23 Micro-grants, presented in partnership with UPS.
With an open call for applications running from December 13, 2022 to February 14, 2023, the charity received a total of 2049 applications under the four micro-grant categories: The UPS Climate-Related Product Innovation Micro-grant, the TD Bank Women Identifying Business Owner Micro-grants (3), the Meta Digital Innovator Micro-grant, and the UPS Global Impact Micro-grant.
The difficult task of adjudication is almost complete, and the IEF 2022/23 Micro-grant recipients will be notified by February 28, 2023.
Stay tuned as we share the stories of the IEF 2022/23 Micro-grant recipients in March and April, and on the charity’s website!

RealOnes app, from Global Black Alliance
Joe Harry, entrepreneur and founder of the Global Black Alliance (GBA), is spreading the word about a Black-owned business that is changing the way consumers shop.
RealOnes app is a free GPS for Black-owned businesses and allies of Black communities, founded by GBA. RealOnes provides a place for allies to immediately connect through entrepreneurship, commerce, social justice, humanitarianism and more in a time where people must make smart decisions about how they spend their money, and the causes/businesses they support.
Any company or community member can be represented on the app provided their values align with GBA’s mission: to connect customers to Black-owned businesses & allies locally and around the world.
