Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation 2022/23 Micro-grants

 IEF 2022/23 Micro-grants

The IEF micro-grants exist to support Canadian entrepreneurs and small business owners belonging to racialized and/or equity-deserving communities as they overcome and recover from the various global and regional business disruptions and impacts of recent years.

Our open call for applications will continue until February 14th, 2023, at 3pm EST.

The IEF 2022/23 micro-grants consist of four categories with a total of six $5000 cash grants and $11,000 Meta advertising credits. Micro-grant recipients will receive a $5000 cash grant or Meta ad credits to inject into their business, and a marketing and story-telling campaign provided by the charity.

You can find all details about the micro-grants, including micro-grant categories, qualifications, FAQs, and application questions here. Applications will be accepted until February 14, 2023, at 3pm EST.

Startup Canada’s 2022 Entrepreneurship Census

Calling all Canadian entrepreneurs and Canadian entrepreneurial support organizations: Have your voice heard by completing the Startup Canada’s 2022 Entrepreneurship Census by January 20th, 2023.

The census takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and results are shared nationally with private and public sectors to improve the assistance provided to our nation’s entrepreneurs and SMBs (small and medium sized businesses).

NACCA’s launch of the Indigenous Business Hub ADAAWE

Our friends at The National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA) invite you to join their Indigenous Business Hub, newly launched in October of 2022!

The Indigenous Business Hub includes Ottawa.IBHub.ca, an online platform to grow the nation’s economy, and ADAAWE, a co-working and community hub for Indigenous entrepreneurs.

ADAAWE provides a space for entrepreneurs to gather, collaborate, and to grow their businesses. ADAAWE offers working and collaboration spaces, technology and business libraries, workshops, mixers, and an elder and entrepreneur-in-residence for guidance.
