Innovators & Entrepreneurs Foundation 2022/23 Micro-grants

 IEF 2022/23 Micro-grants

We are now accepting applications for the IEF 2022/23 Micro-grants! The IEF micro-grants exist to support Canadian entrepreneurs and small business owners belonging to racialized and/or equity-deserving communities as they overcome and recover from the various global and regional business disruptions and impacts of recent years.

We have four categories, six $5000 cash grants, and $11,000 Meta advertising credits. Micro-grant recipients will receive a $5000 cash grant or Meta ad credits to inject into their business, and a marketing and story-telling campaign from the charity.

Climate-Related Product Innovation Micro-grant

The Climate-Related Product Innovation Micro-grant, sponsored by UPS: a $5000  cash grant to be awarded to a business demonstrating innovation to address urgent climate-related issues.

The Global Impact Micro-grant

The Global Impact Micro-grant, sponsored by UPS: a $5000 cash grant to be awarded to a business who has demonstrated international scale.

Woman Identifying Business Owner Micro-grant

3 x Woman Identifying Business Owner Micro-grant, sponsored by TD #TDWomenInEnterprise: three micro-grants of $5000 cash each ($15,000 total) to be awarded to women identifying business owners seeking access to a business grant to scale their business.

The Digital Innovator Micro-grant

The Digital Innovator Micro-grant, sponsored by Meta: a $5000 cash grant plus $5000 in Meta advertising credits to be awarded to a business who moved their operations online as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Meta is also providing Meta advertising credits worth $2000 to three additional businesses who apply for (but do not win) the Digital Innovator Micro-grant.

Put money back in Your Pocket with Credit Card Class Action Settlement

From our Friends at CFIB: Claim up to $5,000 HERE in major credit card class action settlement.

Has your business accepted major credit cards as merchant payment at any point between March 23, 2001, and September 2, 2021? You may be eligible to receive a portion of a multi-million-dollar settlement in a class action lawsuit against two major credit card companies.

The Application Claim has been extended to December 30th, 2022. The application is simple and takes approximately five minutes to complete.

Canada Summer Jobs Business Wage Subsidy Program

The Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ), from Employment and Social Benefit Canada provides wage subsidies to Canadian employers with fifty or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for young people aged 15 to 30 years.

Applications are due by January 12, 2023, at 11:59pm PST. Check out the Canada Summer Jobs applicant guide for more details, key dates, and eligibility requirements.
