Entrepreneur Spotlight

Evelyne Nyairo, M.Sc., P.Biol. founder and CEO of Elle Bianca

This month we are delighted to shine a light on Evelyne Nyairo, the inspiring founder and CEO of Elle Bianca.

Evelyne is one of the semi-finalists for our 2022 Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and was also a semi-finalist for our 2021 Black Entrepreneur of the Year CANIE Award 2021.

Evelyne Nyairo
Elle Bianca

Elle Bianca, an all-natural, certified organic skincare line was founded by Evelyne Nyairo, a Kenyan Canadian environmental scientist who was deeply moved by the treatment of women, and also the superfoods and biodiversity she was exposed to during her travels to Chad.

A single mother, Evelyne put herself through her post-secondary studies, earning her Bachelor of Environmental Sciences and her Master of Science. Evelyn’s inspiration for becoming an entrepreneur was tied to her desire to demonstrate to her daughter, and to women everywhere, that women are capable of great success.

Giving back to her community is critical to Evelyn. She sources ingredients locally and from female-identifying suppliers. Evelyne also mentors entrepreneurs and runs the Ellie Bianca Woman Scholarship for single mothers.

Ellie Bianca is the embodiment of founder Evelyne Nyairo’s work as an environmental scientist, chemist, African Canadian woman, and proud mother, established to make a significant difference for her daughter and for women everywhere.

Ellie Bianca is an all-natural, certified organic, environmentally sustainable, and socially conscious skincare line that recognizes beauty in all forms and supports the empowerment of women through business and education. Ellie Bianca is here to spread the message that beauty is so much more than an aesthetic with its ethos to be “Kind to Your Skin, Kind to the Earth, & Kind to Women.”

Aside from being sold on the website, Ellie Bianca’s products are available at The BayWell.caHealthy PlanetYes WellnessHalo Health Care, and many other in-store and e-commerce retailers. Learn more about Evelyne, and the beautiful bespoke product lineup she has created for Ellie Bianca here.
