Combining our Phase One and Phase Two Award categories, we have the privilege of honouring seven of our nation’s brightest and talented innovators and founders. Each of the seven award categories will honour four semi-finalists who will receive a professionally produced promotional video to use for business development, and their businesses will be promoted locally, regionally, and nationally. The winner of each award category will receive a $10,000 cash prize to invest into their business, and each semi-finalist and winner will be celebrated at our national virtual CANIE Awards Gala held in 2022.

It is through the relationships and alliances with our like-minded partners and sponsors that we are able to work toward our mission to advocate, support, educate & celebrate innovation & entrepreneurship among business owners in marginalized & under-represented communities across Canada.

We are grateful for our incredible allies that have partnered with us this year to make our Phase Two CANIE Awards possible.

Prince’s Trust Canada

We are delighted to partner with Prince’s Trust Canada. Together we will reach more Veteran entrepreneurs and encourage more Canadians to support Veteran-owned businesses.

“This year marks the 10th anniversary of Prince’s Trust Canada’s Operation Entrepreneur (OE) program, and we are honoured to celebrate this milestone by partnering with IEF and presenting the Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year Award,” says Sharon Broughton, Chief Executive Officer, Prince’s Trust Canada. “Members of the military and Veteran community are highly skilled individuals who make significant contributions to the economic and social fabric of their communities. Many of the 5,000 military members who transition to civilian life every year pursue entrepreneurship and self-employment. It is our honour to support and celebrate them along their entrepreneurial journeys, from the initial idea stage, all the way to becoming Canada’s Veteran Entrepreneur of the Year.”   – Sharon Broughton, Chief Executive Officer at Prince’s Trust Canada.

Prince’s Trust Canada is a national charity whose vision is a sustainable future for Canada, where young people and communities thrive. Through innovative partnerships and guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, our programs help young people overcome barriers to employment and prepare for the future of work, provide entrepreneurship training and support for Veterans, and address climate change mitigation and adaptation. Our work is inspired by our Founder and President, His Royal HighnessThePrince of Wales, and is driven by his vision for a more sustainable future.
